We are currently looking to recruit a Waste Management Coordinator for one of the region's leading Oil & Gas companies.
The purpose of the role is to develop and implement the company's Waste Management Systems, standards and guidelines and to advise the board, company affiliates and group companies on matters relating to Hazardous Waste Management.
You will be expected to plan, prepare and implement Hazardous Waste Management objectives relating to the group's hazardous and toxic waste. The job will involve auditing waste management operations in various business units and overseeing the testing and analysis of hazardous and toxic waste samples. You will develop and deliver company wide training on waste matters and will develop and sustain Waste Minimisation Programmes.
Requirements
It is expected that you will have at least 10 years experience in Hazardous Waste Management (or equivalent). This will ideally have been gained from within a petroleum company.
Education will be a minimum of BSc in Chemical or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent). Professional qualification and Masters is preferred.
You must be physically fit. Although the majority of time you will be office based the requirements of the job mean you will spend time exposed to high temperatures and high humidity. You must also be able to climb when carrying out environmental investigations activities.
Experience of working in the Middle East or other challenging environments is preferred.
It is essential that you are fluent in written and spoken English. You must be an excellent communicator capable of dealing within people of different nationalities at all levels of a large business.
